Type lll
What does it protect against?
Type lll body armor is made to protect against rifles. It protects against 7.62mm full metal jacket rounds. It also provides protection against Type ll, Type ll-A, and Type ll threats.
Should you wear it?
Type lll body armor should only be used in situations where the enemy is armed with rifles. People most likely to use this type of armor are S.W.A.T team members and soldiers. This armor is pretty cumbersome, so it should only be used in the above situations.
